About the lab
We are a group of passionate people who enjoy designing and developing the most cutting-edge genomic technologies, both wet and dry, to tackle the unsolved common questions in the field of biology. Currently, we are developing high-throughput single-cell multi-omics sequencing methods to explore how changes in the genetic code affect the entire transcriptome and further impact protein expression. Meanwhile, we are developing spatial genomics tools to explore cell fate in both spatial and temporal dimensions, uncovering how cellular interactions extend beyond individual cells.
We are fascinated by investigating how normal cells accumulate mutations during aging and ultimately become tumor cells, identifying the genetic factors that cause therapeutic resistance after tumor treatment, and developing treatment strategies to help patients in clinical practice. We pursue new technologies because we believe they will revolutionize biology and biomedical research in every aspect and truly help people understand and cure diseases such as cancer.
People are the heart of our lab. We welcome passionate and self-motivated individuals from diverse backgrounds to join us. We value curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, fostering an atmosphere where new ideas can thrive. “A thousand tongues find unique flavors in the same tea, ten thousand hearts pursue one goal through countless paths."—we are a unified whole with diverse perspectives, where each individual brings unique ideas to the table. Together, we’re striving to create the coolest and most powerful genomic tools to advance biological and biomedical research, ultimately helping improve people's lives.
